Participate in art wars
Art Wars is an in-the-moment competition where student artists, from multiple schools, compete against each other to make the best artwork possible in their category. There are multiple categories that include drawing, painting, digital photography, and clay. Students register for a category and are placed in a room with 10-15 other students in that same category. They are given a time period in which to complete a prompt based work of art, all the while being critiqued by the judge in the room.
A topic or theme will be presented. Students have 2 hours to plan, prepare and create a work of art using a traditional drawing medium such as graphite, pen, marker, pastel, etc.
Drawing > Traditional
During Art Attack, students will have 2 hours to complete 3 different mediums, all with a different subject matter/category. This event could play well to the artist who is talented in multiple mediums and does not necessarily focus on one. Mediums will be secreted until round has begun. This will be a fast pace, high intensity event.
Clay
2D or 3D (depending on available software).
A Topic or theme will be presented. Students will have 2 hours to plan, prepare, and create an animation incorporating that topic or theme.
Photography
A topic or theme will be presented. Students have 2 hours to plan, prepare, and create an acrylic painting.
Painting
